Does anyone know when we should be expecting our finaid packages?
I really just wanna pay my deposit already haha, but I gotta wait til I figure the money out.
I think I read somewhere that Finaid will be emailed to accepted students March 30th, can anyone confirm?

They said March 30th they will send a notification summarizing your fin aid package, a notification stating they are still working your package, or a notification stating they need additional documents.

The full packages are supposed to be mailed in early April

That’s today, I have no emaillllllll :/

I have not received an email as well!!!

Lol. I think he means that they mail it today and it will arrive next week…

We called the office and they said that they mailed out the
financial aid letters today and that they won’t be available online.

Yeah, that’s what I thought.

is anyone else bugging about how theyre gonna pay $59,000 a year? praying for some significant fin. aid over here…does anyone know, is cornell generally generous? like i know yale has a program that families dont have to pay more than 10% of their yearly income if they make less than like 200,000 a year…does cornell have anything like this?

^Yes. Expected parent contribution is $0 if family income is less than $60,000. At least, that’s what their website says.

I’m basically depending on that policy from their website, otherwise I can’t afford Cornell at all :/

^Me too.

10 Char

Thats what I thought then people said that I’m going to have to pay a few k a year no matter how low my income is. Confused.

Even if they don’t expect us to pay anything, I’m sure there will be several loans instead :|

I wish they could just post it online…although I do love getting mail. xD

I’ve seen past CC threads about international students getting accepted and then being denied any financial aid (even though they had applied for it). I hope Cornell doesn’t do that this year!

Why would we have to pay a few k if EFC is zero?
Isn’t there like an anti-loan policy?

Did they already tell you it’s zero? Odds are that efc will not be zero. Their policy is skewed, so I hear.

My fafsa EFC is around 1100 I believe, my family can only pay like max 3K for me to go to college.
So does Cornell not go by this? I heard that finaid packages don’t really get any better than Cornell’s soooo no I’m really scared. I wanna attend so bad :(

Well our income is 42k and I did the fin aid calculator and said efc is 2,500 if I do work-study. Packages should be coming soon. Hang tight.

I know if you live in New York, the tuition and fees are lower by about 10 grand. But I’m waiting as well.
