Financial Aid for ED Admits

In conjuction with the release of RD decisions, Duke posted financial aid information for both ED and RD admits to its Applicant Self-Service portal: https://applicants.siss.duke.edu/psp/PS090AAP/?cmd=start. However, I am unclear as to whether the FA figures posted Monday are final or still estimates. The Duke Financial Aid Office has all the information it needs to calculate my award (2010-2011 FAFSA, IDOC stuff, etc.), but the dollar amounts listed online are identical to those provided with my decision in December. That not a single change exists signals me to believe a final package has not yet been put together, but I figured I would see if other ED students are experiencing the same thing.

Thanks

Yeah I had the same question as you. But I’m pretty sure that that’s still the estimate, and the only reason it’s showing up is because those are the numbers that are in the system as of right now, before they calculate the final. Just a guess here, but that’s what I think, or else they wouldn’t have made us send those other forms in.

You’ll never get a final package, in the sense that it won’t change. Hell, I’ve had financial packages that changed over the course of the year and even in the middle of a semester. But you should assume that the latest one you have (online or offline) is the one that will be implemented.
