Financial Aid for Housing

I know that in the FinAid FAQ, it says FinAid will be applied to all outstanding UT debts before the rest, if any, is mailed to the student. Does this include Housing, even if there is no option in the bill, similar to the option in the Tuition Bill, to pay with FinAid? Or will the student have to pay Housing Bills after they receive the check in the mail?

Is UT website really so difficult to navigate? My daughter can never find anything there. :D

Financial Aid
Unpaid housing charges will be deducted automatically from your financial aid each semester when your aid is released. Be sure to check your on line housing bill to see if a balance remains on your account after your financial aid has been applied. Late fees and service charges will be applied to your semester balance if it is not paid in full by your financial aid disbursement.

If FA isn’t used to pay tuition or housing, and I pay everything (tuition/housing/etc.) that’s owed, will the unused FA go to my bank account when it’s released?

@Ya Ya: The UT website navigation menu sucks! And the search doesn’t always come back with the info you want.
