Financial Aid for International Students at Boarding Schools

Anyone have experience with financial aid for international students? Am curious how much is generally available for international applicants at the well-known and less well-known schools.

If 30-50% of kids receive financial aid, are the internationals the same ratio, or drastically less?

Anecdotally, it seems like BSs lean heavily toward full-pay for internationals, but would be interested in hearing the insight of others. The internationals we know at BS are almost always full-pay. Perhaps that is a function of the international applicant pool, and not the priority of the financial aid budget.

It varies by school. The larger schools definitely have internationals who are not full pay.

We were on a call with many boarding schools. The same question was asked and most bs did not offer FA to international students. A few do, but they made it clear it was offered to very few people. It is worth noting that while there are many students in any given year receiving aid, the odds of receiving aid even as a domestic applicant is very low.
