Financial aid for international students?

Is McGill’s international financial aid any good? I’m a U.S. student, and I wanted to know if McGill would be a viable option for me. I’m middle class with a net household income of 150k, with 2 other siblings in lower grades, and we don’t own any property aside from the house.

Also, I have seen multiple times that McGill could be considered a safety for people, and I would like to know why. I saw that the school website had recommended minimum grades/test scores depending on the field of study. Does McGill adhere closely to those cutoffs?

They are not recommended minima, they are required and meeting the minima does not guarantee acceptance. With an income of $150,000/year you would not qualify for need based aid and if you are worried about meeting the minima you would not likely qualify for merit aid.

@TomSrOfBoston I have stats well above the minima, but I was wondering whether that would be enough to assume an acceptance. Are Canadian schools as subjective as U.S. schools? That is my main issue here

McGill admits solely by stats. It is not holistic.
