Financial Aid for International Transfer Student

I'm an international who is considering applying to Columbia, UPenn, Brown, Stanford, and Cornell as a transfer student. However, I'll need some financial aid to supplement my family's contribution to the cost of my education, and all these colleges state that they have limited financial aid for international transfer students. Should I apply anyway and hope that, on the very slight chance that I'm accepted by any of these institutions, I'll be awarded at least 4000 to 9000 dollars? Common sense tells me not to bother, but on the other hand, an unrealistic sense of optimism is urging me to apply. xD I'd really appreciate your opinions. Thank you. :)

the answer is no Faid for international transfers. you can search here on cc to get your answers already.

Better come at graduate school level.

kids those are all top notch schools and they don’t even give much FA to us citizens and they accept only a handful of transfer, try applying to some other colleges if your wanting FA.

Apply for the right schools and you’ll get FA as an International student.

There is not a lot of financial aid for international students, and there is not a lot of financial aid for transfer students. Read through what each institution posts on its website, and see if they offer aid to international transfers. Some don’t. It also is perfectly OK to email the transfer admissions office and ask about this.

Please remember that each institution has its own way of evaluating your family’s ability to pay. Even if you think that you need $x in order to attend, it is entirely possible that any given college or university may think that you don’t need one cent of aid.

LOL it turns out my parents can’t afford as much as I originally thought they could. I’ll need somewhere between 20000 and 30000 dollars per year in aid from any of these institutions. Such a shame. They’re all amazing.
