Just curous. I heard Cornell is currently using d canadian&mexican budget for internationals. Thats good news i gues. So how does dat affect me, an international student who is applying?..is it just an minute increment or its a verous enormous budget..+is cornell need blind in offering admission?

cornell is never need blind for internationals (those who are not US citizens or Permanent Residents), no matter what they say, their budgets toward internationals are “very limited”. This bothers me too:p

What?!Their policies won’t make any differece. Oh.my heart breaks.

same here…gues i’d drop cornell off my list cos i’m actually anticipating full aid.
wel some1 else has sometn 2say???

I was wondering about the opposite thing- like whether Canadians and Mexicans get less money now lol The website is so confusing, as if they change part of it and forget to update the other part

You will be hard pressed to find ANY american institution that guarantees full aid to internationals.

Most of them save scholarships for exceptional students.
So there is money there, it’s just limited.

Yeah, That’s why I dare not to fill in a Zero in FC column.

In reading Cornell’s FA policy, they have just changed it this year for international students. International students are currently in the same pool as Canadians and Mexicans. Whereas before it was only for very few exceptional international students, but now they will be considered the same as Canadians and Mexicans. This is probably not as good of news for our neighbors. As expected, that pool is probably smaller than for Americans.

good news for internationals…i guess?

naw, don’t get your hopes up. I’m think Cornell is expecting Singapore, Chinese and Indian nationals get fund from their own country, like the Hong Kong Scholarship funds and the India something (i forget).
