Financial Aid for Transfer Students at UIUC?

I was recently waitlisted and then rejected for the freshman class. I will be attending a top 50 LAC that I don't love...its pretty isolated AND isolating. I was wondering what financial aid at UIUC would be like for an instate transfer next fall.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I saw on the U of I Admissions website that you can find information about financial aid and transferring to the school [U</a> of I Admissions: Financial Aid](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions). This tuition information is also on the site but I don’t know if it will be the same next year: [U</a> of I Admissions: Transfer Tuition & Fees](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions). Good luck!

Buyer’s remorse?

Not too much financial aid given out at UIUC. If your a minority you will have a much higher chance of getting some though.

Good research @annasdad… Timeline wise, the 4/24 post was made fresh off a visit from the school… But given time to think, not pressured by the may first deadline, I realized that unless I made meaningful ties to Denison in the fall, I may not stay all four years.
