I am planning to apply to UPenn for early decision, but I was wondering do I have to fill out any financial aid documents, like the CSS profile, FAFSA, federal income tax return, etc, by November 2nd?
I saw this checklist on UPenn’s page and wasn’t sure if I had to send those items listed for Early Decision : http://www.sfs.upenn.edu/finaid-checklists/checklists-pro-us.htm

The FAFSA doesn’t need to be filled out by November 2. It hasn’t been released yet. The others (CSS and Penn Financial Aid supplement) do need to be filled out by then.
how do you fill the Penn Financial Aid Supplement without having a upenn account?

@scidude34 You can’t. You have to submit the first part of the app to receive your account, and even then it can take up to 48 hours for the PFAS link to appear. But the good news is you can submit your Common App first and your Writing Supplement separately if you still need to work on your essays.
@LyricalSinner They accept late submissions, however if you submit it late then you may not get your financial aid package with your acceptance (should you be accepted). So for families who need the financial aid to work out in order to attend Penn, it would be best to finish the checklist by November 2.
So if I do get accepted, is it possible for them to reconsider my undetermined package when I send in additional information? Unless I’m misinterpreting this, the website states “Follow the deadlines to receive your financial eligibility results at the same time as your admissions decision. Applications are still accepted after the deadlines.”
You need to do your best to send in the info as close to the deadline as possible. What additional info would you not send in that first round of data? The CSS profile is pretty thorough.
I’m probably just overthinking this… Well, its because my parents won’t be home til Saturday morning due to a sudden trip, and it looked rather extensive/ heard it took a long while to fill out… Ah whatever, I’ll just hope they’ll won’t check mine on monday.
You will need your parents’ help with this. I would not submit it without that.
