FASFA Financial Aid Forms

Hi everyone. Do you know if Penn State requires accepted students to fill out a FASFA form? If so do you know when they want it?

Thank you in advance for any info you may provide,

If you want to be considered for financial aid, you do need to fill out the FAFSA. Otherwise, there's nothing requiring you to do so. We complete ours is January (you can't fill it out until Jan. 1), but not sure offhand what the deadline is. I'd suggest completing it as soon as possible because there have been stories all over the national news recently about how there will be a shortage of financial aid for next year. So the sooner you fill it out, the better.

Penn State recommends you submit your FAFSA by February 15 for maximum aid consideration (:

I've said it before in this forum and I'll say it again - I can't get over how nice and helpful everyone on this board has been! If all of the folks who have answered various questions here over the past few months for me are any indication of how PSU REALLY is, I can't wait for my daughter to get there to be surrounded by such nice down to earth helpful people.

Is that the corrected form, or the first one you submit with estimated data? Also, is the data true for returning students?

Just to note, you need to fill out a FAFSA even if you are 'just' getting a loan, Plus loan, or Parent Plus loan. The Feds need the FAFSA too to make their determination. Also, all the PSU info for both current and prospective students is right here: Penn State - Office of Student Aid

Good luck! Get those taxes done early it makes it easier! Be thankful you don't have to fill out the CSS Profile, too, like I do for S2!
