I checked my financial aid package and I received some loans for the summer and fall terms. Just this morning I checked, and I could still click to accept them but decided to wait until I got home. I just checked, and when I click on both the 2015 and 2016 aid years, it says my award isn’t available? WAS THERE A LAST DAY TO ACCEPT THE LOANS? Is this happening to anyone else???
Did you fill out all of the forms necessary on the studentloans.gov site? I was not able to accept the loans until I first got a PIN (pin.ed.gov), and then filled out the forms on that website. Only after they submitted the info to FSU was I able to click on the loan acceptance.
Now my d’s Fin. Aid link is saying it is not available for viewing/editing. @lucysanfiel, did you ever get an answer about this?
Whenever the system is being updated by financial aid (and it happens a LOT as new students are added, new things awarded, or things are updated such as Bright Futures), viewing financial aid is usually down.
There isn’t really a “deadline” for accepting your loans, just that you will have to fill out some paperwork before you can have them disbursed to you.
