Hi,
I was accepted into WashU for the class of 2020. I’m very excited, but the thing holding me back from accepting the offer is the school’s cost. I’m an out of state student and have been applying to some outside scholarships. WashU is one of the schools I would like to go to (out of the schools I have been accepted to), but I am worried about debt after college. Do you have any suggestions on getting financial aid for the school? I heard WashU is very good with helping students, but I am not sure whether that help will be “enough.” WashU of St. Louis is a wonderful school, and being surprised by the results, I would like to take every chance to be able to go there without feeling financially pressured. Thanks for your help.
Yeah I have the same problem, being out of state. They gave me a decent scholarship, but still somehow expect me to contribute about 75% of the cost. From what I’ve heard and seen, Wash U will still be expensive (it does have nice amenities like its dorms and food). I don’t know what field you’re interested in, but if it’s medicine like for me, I would save the money for medical school.
