i did get an estimation online, but i did not get a physical mail. and when i check online..it said that they do not receive my fafsa.. is something wrong? also... do u think it's a good idea to request for some more need aid? I NEED HELP!

i don't think you'll receive mail from UCLA until fall right? I'm not too sure actually, I'm an incoming freshman like you.

so i have to accept admission...and THEN i get the financial packet??

you will get your final fin aid award in june or july (you'll get an email telling you to check myfao). We've never had anything send in hard copy mail, it's all done online through myfao and ursa (the billing and student online application).

if you have q's re: your estimate, you should call fin aid at ucla. Note: UCLA doesn't negotiate like private colleges do.

You should contact them and ask why it says they have not received your FAFSA - just to make sure there is not a problem that would hold up your financial aid.

I have the same problem too. I only just submitted my SIR. Apparently, the financial aid documents will not be available until 5-7 days after they've received your SIR. So if you haven't done so, do it QUICK. The fin aid deadline is also May 1!!
