I keep reading articles about how colleges are tight on money right now because of the financial crisis. During my visit to Boston College, they mentioned that the school was not need blind. My college advisor told me I had a good chance at getting into BC, but I am wondering if my chances can be lowered because of my financial need, which I would say is probably higher than most kids’s needs.

Last I checked, BC is one of a few schools in the country that is need-blind. From the BC website: "Requests for financial aid do not affect decisions on admission."

Thanks! I guess I misunderstood what they said before.
