Financial Aid - IU Jacobs School of Music

<p>I'm posting FA info here because it applies only to IU's Music School.</p>

<p>We received IU's Financial Aid Award Notice yesterday. It did not include any music scholarship. So, I asked the Music office if that was the complete package. They responded:</p>

<p>"No scholarship decisions have yet been made by the Jacobs School of Music. Scholarship decisions will be completed throughout next week, and will be submitted before April 1."</p>

<p>So, if any music majors get FA notices in the next week or two without Music Scholarships, don't despair.</p>

<p>We got my son's Jacobs School merit award just before 4/1 - true to their word.</p>

<p>Actually, just so anyone interested knows, it works the same way at U of Mich as well. However, the admit letter outlines notices of merit awards being "mailed" the first week of April.</p>

<p>thanks OperaDad! i received the IU FA and felt a bit of a panic....good to know that it doesn't necessarily mean i won't get music scholarships.</p>
