Once you’re admitted, Columbia will meet your needs to 100%. Even if your an international student. Columbia is, however, need-aware in its admission of international students but perhaps that is what you meant :P

My d got the same letter; she is not international. I don think it means anything.

I received the same email the other day. Before, I had also received an email exactly alike this (but without a personalized part: name, ID, address). I have replied to the email since but no reply has been given.

Thing is, last time, I replied and got a response directly from a FA officer, after exchanging a couple of emails, she said that she would look into the issue for me (My CSS profile has not been put as received even though I sent it in on Jan 31st). This was also told to me through the phone, where they asked my Colum ID and CSS ID. About 2 weeks later, without any change in the status, I called them again, and again gave them info which I was given the reply of: We will solve this issue for you, don’t worry. That was a week ago, but alas, still no change.

What’s probably happening is that there are too many applications so they haven’t accounted for everything yet. But it still makes me worried. Calling them would be an option, but it hasn’t helped me much.
Good luck to everyone waiting for results!

I called Columbia about an hour ago, the lady I spoke to was very helpful and has waived two of my requirements. To fulfill the last of the requirements, I was asked to fax Columbia a letter which I will do tomorrow.

I suggest calling Columbia - they’re very helpful, even more so when you’re an international applicant because Columbia is not need blind - if you’ve been told of a lack of documentation from them, that’s probably a good sign.

Thanks for that update Skeriss, I’ll probably go and call right now.

Does anyone know what it means if the “reason” they require a document is “disbursements”? I find the choice of word a little odd.

Did there turn out to be any correlation between the email and acceptance?

Nope.
