Financial Aid Letter

So, the rush of getting in has worn off by now and I'm starting to worry about financial aid. Does anyone have any information as to the date that our financial aid package should arrive?

Also does anyone know how generous NU is with aid because I calculated my EFC to be about 22k and this is near the limit of what my family can afford?

NU is quite good with financial aid and will definitely come very close to EFC. Also, you can always appeal your aid if it doesn’t meet your expectations. There is always room for change.

Do you have any idea how soon they will send out the information?

I think that the rest of our information will come through the mail. They will send us links to all of our stuff in the mail. As far as I know…

Financial letter will arrive by mail in the next couple of weeks. Along with the letter, you will also receive the access information to the Caesar account, that allows you to view your aid online. Caesar is NU’s repository of all the relevant information for you - your courses, personal data, transcripts, etc etc

The letter said “In the next few days via mail, you will receive an official copy of your decision letter and materials which outline the steps you will need to take to enroll in the Class of 2017.” Shouldn’t that mean that our letter will come in the next few days, rather than the next few weeks? I just can’t wait for the Financial Aid info since that determines me going to NU…
