Financial Aid Over Award + Work Study Question ( hopefully a current student can help)

Hello all~!

So I’m attending Penn this fall as a part of the Huntsnan Program  I got my financial aid package and it had around 17,000 in Penn Grants and 6,000 in self help plus other scholarships from I guess alumni? After this scholarship season, I finished with 30,000 in outside scholarships which replaces my self help options, abd my penn grant completely, with money Jeff over. I contacted my admissions officer abd she says this means I have an over award. They haven’t responded as to what I can do with that over award money, but if anyone has experienced something similar, I’d appreciate it if you could let me know  I wanted to buy a computer with that money :S Also, since covered the vist of my work study, would I get that money sent as a check, credited to my account, or…?

Per SFS, the over award will be sent directly to you. If you have an account setup with SFS, it will be direct deposited to your account once the billing has been finalized, or you can call them and they can issue you a check. Hope this helps.
