they pretty much took my EFC and gave me the rest of the money, some in a grant and the rest in loans and such. overall its not that much but its a decent amount of aid compared to what i received from some of the other schools. it is not going to be easy for my parents to pay but i guess any help is good and i actually got more than i expected (though not necessarily enough). i really love the school though so i will probably attend regardless.

I got into Barnard, but have been considering it a less likely option since they don't give merit aid, and it might be silly to go there when I could go somewhere else for considerably less. Lately, however, I've been thinking that I might really want to be at Barnard.

My dad apparently never finished the financial aid information because we didn't have all the papers yet, and he thought (based on FAFSA, maybe?) that we wouldn't get anything anyway. When I got the Barnard acceptance it said we could still submit financial aid information late, and he ended up doing that (overnight, today).

Anyway, I don't know how much aid I could get or whether it's still possible to get something decent if you send information late. So does anyone know how Barnard is with financial aid, generally?

It might be too much of an obscure question to ask whether aid is possible if you don't have it in on time, but perhaps someone could at least give me an idea of how generous Barnard could be.
