Looked at an old thread and it looks like FA packages started coming out around March 25th. Anxiously awaiting that info so we can make some final decisions!!

Just founds this on their website:

Entering students:The Fall 2013 - Spring 2014 financial aid notification process for new freshman and transfer students will begin March 15, 2013.

So not too long to wait.

Thank you! I never realized how exciting it was waiting for the aid packages to start coming in until it started happening haha

Michella- I know! Just got our 1st one a few minutes ago (the internet is a wonderful thing). It is from UNH and we actually got more than I expected. Am hoping this bodes well for UConn (my DS’s top choice).

UConn will be my 4th! Hoping for a good one since I’m really considering it. Good luck to you guys :)

You too. I am looking forward to receiving other FA info. Will be interesting to compare different schools packages.

It will be released on the 19th.

Oh darn. Have to wait 5 more days.

Mine is out

Ugh…My D received NO financial aid. Just the standard Stafford Loan stuff…

I got a lot, but not enough for an out of state kid.

Yea, we are OOS too… $41,000+ is a big number. UConn is my D’s first choice. Of course, all of the schools she’s applied to for pharmacy are basically the same price so unless others come up with offers too good to pass up, I think it’s a safe bet that she’ll be a Husky.

I got nearly half; OOS as well. Still unsure if I’ll be able to attend.

I got my package, but I’m not really sure how to interpret the numbers and I’m pretty sure it’s all loans…

I just made a thread about my package and not knowing what it means; could you guys check it out and try to help me understand how much money they are or are not giving me!? Haha

Looks like my son’s might be available too but I can’t seem to get on it with my phone. Will have to wait till tomorrow and use the computer. Nervous!

Got my DS’s FA info:

$8240 Grant
$1600 Perkins
$3500 Sub Stafford
$2000 Unsub Stafford
(And then Parent PLUS, but we aren’t taking those!)

Would’ve liked work study but he can always look for a job any way on campus.

I think we can work with this.

$20,645 Grant.
$3,500 Sub Stafford
$2,000 Unsub Stafford

It’s nice, especially for a public school. But living in Florida I have UF as an option basically for free so something up North would have to be near free. Still an option though.

DocHoliday-Can we have your Grant, if you don’t want it? ;)

Good luck with your decisions!

Haha I would if I could! Same to you.
