Other than recipients of merit aid (i.e., Axline etc.), has anyone received a financial aid packet yet? If not, any word on when those should be arriving?
Many thanks.

Not yet. According to the admissions packet, financial aid letters should have been sent March 30.

That's strange -- mine came with my admissions packet. I'm international, so that could be the reason, but I do definitely have a fin aid letter (and no, this isn't merit aid).

My acceptance packet was mailed on the 21st, though, while the ones for domestic students were sent on the 15th -- that could be why.

Perplexitudinous: duh, I guess I didn't catch that -- thanks!

Has anyone recieved their financial aid packets yet? The admissions letter only took three business days to get to Minnesota, so if they sent packets the 30th I should have received it already.

I have not received a financial aid package either. could it be because I sent some of the stuff after the "preferred" deadline?

I just received mine (I live in Southern California). And I got offered absolutely nothing :(. Basically, they said "Sorry, but you do not qualify for need-based financial aid."

I haven't received it yet, but I didn't meet all of Caltech's priority deadlines either. I emailed a finaid officer about it a couple months back and was told not to worry about it.

I haven't received mine either, and it's been almost a week.

We learned that there was a problem with our son's financial aid application (a number was incorrectly typed on the CSS--it was a long day at our home since my husband took care of that). My son's file was in the "incomplete" pile.

Anyway, we called and corrected the situation (that was last Tueday). My best guess is that all the "incompletes" were mailed last Friday. I know the financial aid officer said not to worry that they had enough information anyway. If Violetmist2003 received hers on Saturday, the mail will most likely hit the Midwest and East coast Monday or Tuesday.

Please understand, I am just guessing on this.

oh so everyone's should be sent by now i guess? hopefully i'll receive them tomorrow, but i think i'll ask them just to make sure

I would call. All I am doing is just guessing based on ViolentMist2003 receiving a packet on Saturday. The financial aid office may have done all the "incompletes" this past week and mailed them all out on Friday. If anyone learns differently, please share.

I called the financial aid office today and they said that my letter had been printed today and would likely be signed and sent out this afternoon.
