Financial Aid Packet?

Nothing here…getting antsy because I have no idea how they will go but preparing for the worst.

Heard today the fiirst round will go out this weekend, there was a delay. It might take a couple of weeks for everyone to get them.

That is not a good strategy on their part. The longer it takes, the more likely those waiting on those packets will lean towards other schools. What would cause such a delay? It does not inspire confidence.

I don’t know, but it must have happened this week because last week they told me this past Monday. I found a lot of colleges this year are later than they were with my son 4 years ago, (kept his letters) I don’t know why but it makes it much harder to decide.
My daughters received 3 calls yesterday from Stonehill, Marist and Providence about accepted student days. Only one sent FA yet…I don’t want them attending a “rah, rah” session if we can’t go. That usually stops the schpeel pretty quickly.

The financial aid packet was disappointing for Stonehill. They use the merit scholarship to meet need which to me makes it need based not merit based

But, this is my first time through the process so maybe I am just naive. Stonehill is not off the table for consideration.
