Financial Aid Problemz here.

GW is my first choice in were I want to attend college, however the financial aid, Im afraid will be a deal breaker. Currently I attend a private in which I receive financial aid. In the end I pay around 9,000 dollars to go to this school, and receive around 9,000 in financial aid.
On college board. com my EFC is around 16,000 dollars. I guess my question is, how much financial aid do you think i will receive if my EFC is around 16,000 and how much pocket money will it cost to attend GW.

P.S-Hope this question isn't confusing.

Thanks

According to GWU,“The University strives to provide assistance to as many full-time students as possible but is unable to meet the full need of all students who are eligible for aid.” So there is a strong likelihood that your entire need won’t be met and you and your family would be responsible for more than your EFC. A more specific answer isn’t possible without seeing your financial aid application.

Its really impossible to predict financial aid. Personally gwus cost for me was much lower than my efc, which led me to my decision. They have recently increased their aid by some huge number in the millions, and don’t forget about merit aid.
