I completed all the steps for receiving my financial aid three weeks ago, well before the August 25 deadline. One of the things I completed was a Promissory Note.

I received an email reminding me to complete the Promissory note about a month and a half ago. At that time I had not yet completed it, but after reading the email, I decided to do so. However, I received another email today reminding me that I need to complete the Promissory Note in order to receive my financial aid funds. I have already completed it! Should I be worried? The email said Nothing about "disregard this email if you have already completed this" or anything of the sort, which leads me to believe that they may only send out that email to people who have not completed the Promissory Note.

Perhaps they have made an error and somehow they did not receive my Promissory Note? I am thinking I may want to call them about this...

which loan is this for?
For the UCI Loan you need to print the Promissory Note from the school and sign it.
For Federal Direct Loans you need to go on a site and complete the entrance consoleling and complete the Master Promissory Note.

If u did it already just send UCI of MPN you were suppose to print out at the end of the entrance consoling

I double checked and triple checked. I firmly believe that no errors were made. When doing it online, everything was completed without any problems also, but again, this email reminder that I received is quite disturbing.

Hm, you should try calling the Financial Aid office today (I don't think they're open on the weekends). Just tell them your situation and ask what needs to be done. Hope everything goes well. :D
