Do i put in the money i got from financial aid this semester and last semester on the part where it says
"How much did you earn from working (wages, salaries, tips, etc.) in 2013?" since i got total of 10k from the financial aid. Do i need to put it down?

No, you don’t include it for that question. Did you have to report any of your grants or scholarships on your income tax return?

i got grant from the financial aid, do i have to put yes, answering the question i mentioned above.
Please dont repeat what i said, if you are not going to reply, with useful info

Would you like to get an answer from a financial aid director (which I happen to be)? If so, you’ll need to be a bit nicer. The answer to your original question depends on your answer to my question.

I thought someone just copied my comment, and just put it as thier own, i wasn’t aware of the new system.

Okay. I know the new format can be confusing. You never list the grants and scholarships received in your wages. However, if you had to report grants and scholarships on your tax return, you list that amount in question 44d - that amount is included in your AGI, and it will be pulled out of the formula based on your answer to 44d. If you didn’t have to pay taxes on any grants and scholarships (on your tax return), you don’t enter any amount in 44d.

Oh i see, i never did taxes, so i do need to put in the fafsa sheet. Wish there was a better search option for this site.

Assuming you were not required to file a tax return, then you just put down the amount you earned (if any) from working last year. You won’t put financial aid received last year anywhere … it’s not “earned” income.

Did you have $10,000 (or more) qualified education expenses? If yes, you don’t need to report these $10,000 scholarships and grants on your taxes and FAFSA. If no, you may have to report the excess grants on your taxes and FAFSA. See IRS Pub 970, chapter 1.
