Hey all,
so i just accepted my Penn state acceptance and logged into my lionpath account. There I found that under the “Hold” section there was an error that stated: “Financial aid history” which says “Our system indicates that you may be taking or have taken credits at another institution during the most recent academic year.” This makes no sense because I have not attended another college institution before since I’m still in High school.
However it also says " If you have not used federal aid in the most recent academic year you will not have to take any action. Once the updated information loads in 8-10 days, the hold will automatically be removed from your record and your aid will disburse." So does this mean that I don’t have to do anything and it’ll fix itself in a few weeks or should I contact someone?
Please help!!
We had same issue. I called financial aid office and they said we didn’t need to do anything. Hold would go away on its own. She did say that financial aid package would go out next week. Hope that helps.
@phillies80 I was going to call today and ask when the financial aid packages were going out. I’m glad I checked here first. Hopefully that means we’ll get our before our Accepted Student Day on March 19. Not expecting much but I would at least like to know where we stand going in.
My daughter received the same “Financial Aid History” notice. I just emailed OFA to let them know that she has never received any aid for the most current school year. The second notice states that they received her FAFSA, and expect to be notified by the end of March on how to review aid award online.
