Financial Aid Questions

So, I have a few questions.

Gender: F
EFC: 0
GPA: 4.6 (weighted)
Rank: 13/350
H/S: Public
Post-Secondary: Yes

My freshmen year is financially stable, I received enough financial aid (govt and institution), merit aid and local scholarships to cover everything. However I will be short a few (3 or 4) thousand dollars for the next years. I will obviously be applying to scholarships again all year. However, does anyone know of resources for sophomore students? I plan on working (work study) through the year and working through the summer to battle the cost through the year.

Another question: I am attempting/planning to graduate early. I entered with 35 credits that transfered to the school I'm going to. I plan to take gen ed (humanities classes and electives) online through the summers. So, if I finish early, how does that affect my scholarship? (Scholarship is for 4-years) If at all. Do I get that money for grad school (which I plan attending the same Uni for) or does the university just pocket and redistribute the money?

Thanks so much.

You do not get aid after you graduate.

Ok, so what happens to the money from the 4-year award? Or can I use that money during summers?
Or does it just vary on schools?

Just trying to get some information on it.

This varies by school. Your best source of information is the fin aid office at your particular school. Generally, a four year scholarship will cover a certain number of credits, equivalent to four years of school, not necessarily four calendar years. Most have some provision for allowing you to use the scholarship money to take summer courses. Give your school a call and see how it works for them.

You need to talk to the school about what happens if you graduate early. Usually you LOSE the rest of the money…

However, some schools will let you delay your official Bachelors graduation and start taking grad classes using that 4th year of scholarship money. But, you need to get that in writing from the school.
