My financial aid was disbursed to my account last week, but a refund was issued until the 15th, so I was wondering if that’s the case for everyone or my case happens to be an exception. I know that aid is supposed to be available today through direct deposit or the total pay card, but I’d just like to know if my case is different so I can talk to the FA office to get an idea when my aid should arrive. So if anyone can chime in on this it’d be much appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean in your question. No refunds were actually
issued until today. But they showed up on MyBill last week - all the charges for the term
and all the credits from financial aid. If there was more financial aid than charges,
it showed a negative balance. This negative balance is the ‘refund’ that should
have gotten issued today. If your negative balance just showed up on Friday,
they must have done a correction or added a grant or something. It still should
have gotten processed over the weekend.

Thanks for the answer. I did get a negative balance when I checked MyBill on the 12th, but one of my grants was not added on until the 15th and also saw a “refund issued” note was there for the negative amount. As long as it is processed over the weekend then I should be ok it looks like. It’s just that I’ve checked my total pay card balance today but have yet to see anything, so it left me to wonder if the grant that was added on the 15th caused any delay. Thanks again.

mine went directly to my (mom’s) bank account and was there first thing this morning. Don’t know if the pay card takes longer.

ok so if you didn’t have a checking account or you put the wrong routing number before the disbursement (as i did), do you have to pick up a check or pre paid card somewhere? Do they send you a notice that you have to pick it up?
