My classes are 6 weeks long. I completed my FAFSA, and received my award letter that disbursement of my student loans would be sent to the school on 11/20/2018. It is now 2 weeks later and still no money has been sent to my school. I’ve verified with the school that no other documentation is needed. Class started 10/29/2018 and completes on 12/9/2018. Award letter received 10/05/2018 with approval for 11/20/2018 disbursement to school. Is it typical for student aid to be sent to the school so long after the actual award letter disbursement date? This happens every time for me, and I am not sure if the school is just holding the money and not posting it to my account, or if the student aid isn’t being sent from the government to the school within the stated time frame. Please assist if you can. Everything I run across is in relation to disbursement to the student. I’m concerned as to when the funds will be disbursed to the school!
Also, I am working on my PhD, so this is only a grad plus loan.
