Financial aid, tax returns

I submitted my CSS profile before the deadline (and also my FAFSA, but BC took about a month receiving and processing it so idk) but I just realized that I was supposed to send in my 2010 tax returns by february 1st and then update it with the 2011 tax returns when my parents have finished them. I didn’t send in the 2010 tax returns and now it’s past deadline so does this mean I won’t be eligible for financial aid? Or that I would receive less financial aid?

They may not need 2010 now. But don’t ask us. Call BC.

Yeah I’m calling them tomorrow since their office is already closed for the day today. But I’m just trying to get an idea now because I’m really worried.

Just send them in immediately. If your '11 returns are available, send them. If not, send the 2010.

I plan on faxing the 2011 tomorrow! So you don’t think this will negatively affect me?

It really doesn’t much matter what I think…it only matters what colleges think once they receive all of the info.

Good luck.

thanks. and i called today and they said it was fine!

the same thing also happened with me. does anyone know is the financial aid office works completely separate from the admissions office? i know some schools will accept a student and then notify the financial aid office.

This happened to me too. I still have to send Tax Returns asap. With decisions coming out so soon and whatnot, I hope if I get in this doesn’t affect finaid.
