Funny thing was that when I sent in my Fafsa, I accidentally put that my family was on welfare( I know, I'm retarded). I got my efan and thought, "yes I pretty much got a full ride!! :)" So I applied for the most expensive housing, meal plan etc. Then eventually, I checked my fafsa followup and saw the error. I corrected it for obvious reasons, and my EFC came out to about 8 grand. But I didn't even get a new efan and its been like 3 weeks since I made the corrections. So how am I going to get the extra cash? Anybody experienced this before?

Did you have a 0 EFC before the correction? If so you need to contact the school soon and find out what your financial situation is going to be. As well as having to come up with the $8k EFC you will lose federal grant aid such as the Pell (requires an EFC of below 4042) and the ACG (requires Pell eligibility) and SEOG.

No I had an EFC of about $1660. So I guess I'll have to come up with all loans then? Well, I'll call to find out.
