Financial Aid Verification Documents

My financial aid/scholarship awards were posted on the FinAid website but it also said I was selected for Verification. It said: "You must complete the Verification documents that were mailed to you and submit them to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office with the required documentation."

But I don't think I ever received the verification documents in the mail. Did they send the documents and somehow I did not get them? Or have they not sent them out yet??

check under my documents…on the financia aid website, and print it out, then you have to turn it in at berkeley office IN PERSON…meaning u have to go there and turn it in…or atleast thats what im thinking…

i also got this

All I have under “View Messages” is:
File Incomplete Your file is incomplete because a required document is missing or a document you submitted is still being processed. Go to the Required Documents page for detailed information about your file.
Conditional Offer - Verification Your offer of financial aid is conditional. Your offer is not official because you were selected for verification. These estimated, conditional awards will not pay to your CARS account. You must complete the Verification documents that were mailed to you and submit them to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office with the required documentation to receive an official offer of aid.

And under “Required Documents” is:
Not Received

Verification Dependent Your financial aid awards are not official because you were selected for Verification. These estimated, conditional awards, will not pay to your CARS account. You must complete the Verification documents that were mailed to you and submit them to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office with the required documentation. If your verified household or financial information varies significantly from what you reported on your FAFSA, your awards are subject to change from your conditional offer.

I can’t seem to find the verification documents on my FinAid account. Should I just call them to mail them again??

bumppppppp

You will get them through mail… That is probably the easiest way to find out… Otherwise, call the financial aid office at Berkeley.

But do not worry about sending in these documents right away. There is no deadline to send the verification documents… Seriously, I always get picked to have my financial aid info verified…

EDIT: sorry, i didnt read carefully…i gt a diff document that they asked me to turn in to them in person, it was a us citizenship verififcation…not the financial aid verification…my mistake

For those of you that received this verification packet, when are the materials due???
My dad lost the packet that was sent in the mail, and Berkeley hasn’t sent out a new one yet…I’d just like to be sure that I’m not missing any important deadlines.

@bananas, is the verification packet about the US Citizenship verification?

No… I think mine is purely financial aid- so my parent’s income and assets and their tax info.
