So im just now getting around to submitting my verification documents (I missed the email talking about the financial aid portal) and one of the documents requested is the Students 2016 Federal Tax Information, however I did not file for 2016. Do I need the form for verifying non-filers from the IRS? Does the later I upload these documents hurt my chances of receiving financial aid? What am I gonna doooooo?
Call the Financial Office
Hi, I also had to verify my FAFSA. I emailed the financial aid office and they told me if I submitted the V1 form (sorry, forgot the name) I might not have to submit the student tax info or the w-2 form. I just wanted to ask if you ended up needing to submit your student tax info? Thanks
I cant check right now because its after 12 and the site is down but i believe the student tax info was waved, at least if you didnt file and indicated that on the V1. I half-remember submitting a W2 though because I did earn income. Ill check tommorow when the site is up.
@MintxPeach So because I selected that I received income but didn’t file I only needed to submit a W2.
Oh I see! Thanks
