Financial aid!?!

LMU tends to be very stingy with their aid compared other similar schools - at least they were last year. They gave me less than half of what I got for Chapman.

Good news is though, for fall 2012 they are giving out 10% more financial aid than in previous years. In addition, I know that if you can present a solid argument for more aid, they have been known to indulge student requests for strong cases.

Hey you guys, if you check your financial aid right now, it might be up because I checked mine on Saturday and it was there!

Thankfully, I got a $35,208 financial aid package and I officially enrolled at LMU yesterday! I was so happy, because Boston University only gave me $8,500… Ack.

Good luck to all of you and I hope to see you guys in the Fall! :)

if you wanted to appeal your financial aid offer, what do you do? do you just email the financial office?

you need to fill out the form and write a letter of appeal. if you call the financial aid office they can help you through it!

Yup, my EFC is ALMOST 8,000 and yet I have to pay over 30,000. I sent in my letter of appeal and they said I should get a reply by mail by May 1, yet it is unlikely that it will do anything. Hoping for a miracle.

Some one please please please answer cece33’s question!!

@estherr how much was your EFC?
