so i know that schools aren't allowed to base their decisions on whether or not you'll be applying for financial aid, but i heard that it definitely does make a difference. i'm just wondering, do you think that schools really do put it into account, especially for transfers?

...anyone?

for brown it does; other schools don't necessarily... but they don't all agree to meet 100% of need.

ability to afford the school is a factor in admissions in every institution that is not need-blind by definition.
