Hi! I was recently accepted to the college (so excited, I love Marist!) but I didn’t receive any merit scholarships. This being the case, I was curious how Marist was with giving out other aid. I’d love to go, but it’s all a matter of paying for it!
Not good, sorry to report. My son is a senior, and receives a $3000 grant as financial aid each year. The amount didn’t change for this year when I have 2 in college!
By comparison, my daughter is a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania and her financial aid grant is $44K a year!!! Based on the exact same FAFSA data…
Hey there! You sound like you are in the same spot I was when I applied to Marist. What I suggest is calling the finical aid office. Talk to them and explain your situation. When I got into Marist it was right after Hurricane Sandy hit and to be honest I wasn’t sure I could go to college, but my dad and I talked to the finical aid office and were able to work together to figure out a plan. I am now attending my dream school, Marist
