Financial Aid?

I have been checking my account for the past week or so, and my financial aid has been stated as pending. I happened to look a little while ago and now my financial aid seems to be gone. It’s not listed as pending, hasn’t been taken out of what I owe. I can still go through the financial aid tab and see what I am supposed to get, but otherwise it’s missing. If I look up by my statement of account, where it used to have financial aid, it is completely missing now.
I’m just a little freaking out because the due date for fees is tomorrow, the 16th.

Mines like that too! Let’s take this as a good sign and just assume the computer info is wrong from it all being applied.

My financial aid doesn’t show up on my statement of account either! I’m glad to see this is how it is for other people, too.

Does anyone know when students usually receive their refund? I am receiving more than the tuition amount and I am kind of relying on that money to help me get to Columbus on Wednesday.

Back when I was a student (many moons ago), it was about 10 days prior to the first class. But the fee deadline has changed since converting to the semester system, so it’s hard saying. If it was the same as before, the refund would have come before the fee deadline. So I would suggest making alternate arrangements since they will use direct deposit, so even if they process the day of the fee deadline, it may not reach your account. Or make a quick call to find out a date certain. Safe travels!

Okay so as I was writing an email to the student center, I checked my account again. It’s been applied! I understand things can get a little goofy but I really wish it would show up like that, with the financial aid seemingly missing. It’s scary!

As for the refund, if you have direct deposit, it should show up in your account in about four business days (give or take).Otherwise paper checks take about a week.

Third-year student here. Your aid will drive you crazy every year. They will wait until the last minute to disburse aid. They like to make freshmen freak out by listing on the website that aid will disburse 10 days before term, but every semester aid disburses the day before tuition is due, or the day of, always at the last minute. It’s just the way it is, so don’t worry!
