I just found out today that I forgot to submit the Cornell FinAid application, and send the 2005 tax returns..... so I'm planning to get them out tmr asap, meanwhile also calling the office..

is there anything else i should do? and is it still possible that they give me aid?

It's still possible... I sent in my stuff on time, but I was missing my non-custodial stuff... so that's a whole big mess to be dealt with and they didn't process my stuff yet. The trick is to constantly keep in touch with them... I'm pretty sure they have my social security number memorized...

OMG, I did the same thing!! And I was about to start a thread on this, lol. WHY can't Cornell be normal and make their finaid deadlines in February??? I just sent my forms in today, and I am not even going to bother calling. I'm hoping that they still have so much mail to dig through, they won't notice... Or maybe a lot of people will make the same mistake and they'll forgive us... It's just that I've gotten so sick of college applications (filled out 10), that I decided to take a nice break... oops.

This was several years ago, but we also experienced that heart stopping moment when we realized we were late with the FA forms, and happily, all ended well.

You can't change being late, so worry no more, just do the best you can to get the forms in ASAP.

We ended up making time lines for scholarships, admissions, and fin aid so we wouldn't miss any deadlines.

Thanks everyone! I called today and the fin.aid. officer sounded really nice and just said send it in. I asked, and she said there'd be no penalties.

Ooooo, I found out about it on the 1st, and didn't put it in the post box until the 2rd. Counted the same cause the post offices were closed though!
