Financial Aid?

So I heard the Financial Aid at NYU is horrible and that most students end up with painful and enormous debt. So far, I haven't heard a single thing from the Financial Aid Office. Should I wait or contact them? Another reason I'm kinda worried is that practically every other college I applied for required for me to send them proof of my citizenship (I joined the US officially a few months ago). Would it be dumb for me to send the document or should I wait for prompting? NYU should really have a student's link through which we could check out information about our application and financial aid status...

send it just in case. what do you have to lose...39 cents

I'd rather not send random and private information to NYU, especially if they don't need it.

Has anyone heard back anything in regards to financial aid?

Last year, my financial aid notification was included with my admissions decision. Perhaps they are doing it differently this year, though. Maybe try giving the financial aid dept a call?

well speaking of fin. aid... i got in early, but i got the decision from FAO 2.5 months later. it was very annoying, but at least i got some scholarship.

i have a question too! does FAFSA give out any other sort of fin. aid or is it simply used to make the decision from FAO official?

i'm very nervous about the money issue ...

FA + Scholarships + Loan & Grants + ... = Jeez..!
