financial aid?

where does it say how much aid ill recieve?

it should have a link for your preliminary aid report somewhere

oh really? so i dont have to begin my SIR acceptance thing in order to see it

lol hmm well i had already turned in my SIR before looking for it but i'm pretty sure you don't have too...

my PAN is blank...did i not get AID??????????

it says "check back in a week" balh balh balh but its been like that for a while now..

***?

Yeah, same here. And even if we don't get Regents or Chancellor's, when do we hear back from all those scholarships we applied for in the UC application?

like above, if i haven't filled out fafsa and my PAN is blank, is there still achance of getting a scholarship?

bump (10 char)

it said official notification of financial aid would be mid-may. the PAN is unofficial

if you don't turn in your fafsa, you won't get financial aid, but you may still get a non-need-based scholarship

And for future reference, the government financial aid comes in the form of "Pell Grant".

18,000/22,000 for me ow!

so you're saying there's still a chance at getting a scholarship despite my pan being blank? (cuz i didn't submit fafsa)

You may get a scholarship, but there aren't very many that you will be eligible for, so don't expect anything amazing.

Have the chancellor's scholars already been announced? I didn't get my chancellor's notice until late May...

okay i need to clear something up..if i havent heard from UCSD about a financial aid offer, should i be concerned?

I filed my FAFSA with the Department of Education on time (around February), but sent it into UCSD late (after the March 2 deadline). My EFC leaves me out of contention for need-based aid from either the federal government or UCSD, but I still get loans and a work/study program from the feds. Despite filing the FAFSA late to UCSD, I should still get those loans and work/study because they're offered by the feds right?
