Financial aid...

So, I submitted the FAFSA before February 15th, but my mom still hasn't finished filing her taxes, so I haven't sent copies of the requested forms yet. On the website, when I clicked "View Financial Aid" it said "Inquiry access denied." What does that mean?
Will I still qualify for aid?

I have the same exact question!

haha hopefully we get an answer soon!

It probably means that Pepperdine has not yet determined what fin-aid they are distributing yet

Oh and check your To-Do list to see if you still need to mail in:
2008 Parent Income Tax Return
2008 Parent's W-2s

I know I still do :/
I turned in the Verificaiton Worksheet before Feb. 15th but didnt include the Tax Returns or W2 because I didnt have them yet.

Was Feb 15th the deadline? If you submitted the verification worksheet after that does that mean I will get little to no aid? :(

Uhh it says I still need to submit the verification worksheet. I submitted the FAFSA, and I never heard of this worksheet :[
Aghh... What does this mean?

The Pepperdine website says to submit the verification form as soon as possible even if you did not submit it by February 15. It appears that you can fax it to them.

Thank you so much countryboy! I can't believe I missed that.

Financial Aid is up :-)

if it doesnt say anything about scholarships does that mean i didn't get any? the only 2 things im seeing are the stafford loan and a federal PLUS loan

Did you get a work/study- I got one of these. If it says TYPE=LOAN then it is not free.

Mine has grants on it, and then work study and then loans. Andy, I think the reason why they call work study a loan is because they automatically give you the work study amount, but then expect you to work it off at an on campus job. :)

Thanks, any more details on it?

From the Pepperdine website:

Federal Work-study Program:
Federal Work-study provides an opportunity for student employment while enrolled in college. Most of the jobs are campus based. Through the Federal Work-study program the student may earn up to the amount of his/her award by working for an on-campus or non-profit, off-campus employer in an approved Federal Work-study job. Wages are paid in part by the federal government and in part by Pepperdine. An applicant must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this program. Award amounts are based on availability of funds and number of applicants. Current award amounts are $3,000 per academic year. Current pay rates vary, starting at minimum wage. If you are interested in learning more about the student employment program, please contact the Office of Student Employment at 310-506-4177 or visit the Student Employment Web Site.

i only have 2 things listed, the federal stafford loan, and a new Federal Plus loan worth 90% of my potential dues for the year, no grants whatsoever

Das,

Mine is nearly the same.

work/study work
sub-stafford loan
unsub-stafford loan
federal plus loan

No grants. :(

Thanks countryboy. Sucks that we have to work for it (meaning the dining hall, im sure), but better than nothing! Lol.

And no grants for you guys? Jeez...not to rub it in or anything, but I'm curious as to how I got mine....

yea i think i may be done with pepperdine now...:(
