Financial Aid!?!

How do you find your financial aid package or has it not come yet???
also how do you get Columbia to mail you your acceptance letter?

sorry, I am really bad when it comes to computers.

Your financial aid package (if it has come) should be viewable at the following link:
https://admissions.columbia.edu/

Use the application tracking feature with your CUID and personal info.

it says i am missing my student w-2’s but I didn’t make enough money to need this. should i just call them tomorrow??

Have we confirmed that the financial aid has actually been sent out yet? I am anxiously waiting for the aid statement, because that’ll be the determining factor… And right now it just says: “There are no other award years to be displayed”

Yes. Although if you made any money at all through an official employer you should have received W2 forms.

The financial aid package should come in your acceptance packet unless your finaid application was incomplete or they need more information.

I didn’t even know I had to file student W-2s… what?!

so i will get an acceptance packet???

Would they contact us if it’s incomplete? When I track my application, it says they only received the application form (which is incomplete…) even though we sent everything a month ago… I don’t think columbia updates our status that slow…?

Hey guys, current junior at Columbia here.

Your financial aid award letter will come with your acceptance package, which was mailed today (31 March). Depending on where you live, it’ll arrive in the next few days for US/Canada. If your financial aid package still reads incomplete, you should try to finish it as soon as possible so they can send that info to you.

I think you have to submit a W2, even if you didn’t make enough money to file taxes.

Also, here is the number for Financial Aid, just in case you need to give them a call:
212-854-3711

If you don’t file taxes, you were supposed to submit a student non-filer form (as in you don’t have a job/don’t make enough money to warrant a tax return/filed under your parents). If you do have a job but did one of the latter two, I think you should have W-2s to send (to confirm). If you didn’t have a job at all, the W-2s were waived. When you checked your tracked your financial aid data, that should have come up as one of the documents that they asked for. The instructions on the FinAid page also asks for it.

thanks for all of the help!!

hey question… if the packages are sent out already, doesnt it mean they already have the financial aid letters? so wouldnt they be online too? cept mine says there arent any letters, which makes me worried…
