Yesterday I checked my financial aid status, and all I saw was a pell grant that's not even enough to cover my tuition. Would this be all that I'm offered? or is there a chance of more aid/loans being added before the term starts?

As far as loans …

If you complete a 2010-2011 FAFSA next year (assuming you are starting in Fall 2010) you will be able to get a Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan of $2,000.00 and a Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan of $3,500.00 for freshman year.

If you are starting in Summer 2010, fill out the 2009-2010 FAFSA now and you will receive Unsubsidized Stafford Loan of $1,000.00 and Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan of $1,750.00, providing that you are first time in college.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I’m transferring in as a junior. I’m starting this Spring(Jan).

Impackt if you are a junior then you should have no issues with financial aid, you already should know more or less what to expect each year based on what you got at your previous school. Unless of course your financial situation changed, your aid should stay relatively the same.

In transferring from a community college and I lived with my parents. Financial aid always covered my tuition at my CC. This pell grant would have been more than enough at my CC, but it only covers tuition at UCF. I’m worried about housing, food, etc…

well you probably will get more because I find it hard that they only will give you pell grant. but then again maybe because of other factors you may not qualify for other types of aid but id give it some time. although you have to keep in mind that aid wont always adjust. just because you had enough aid at a CC doesnt mean that itll adjust to cover you completely at UCF, especially if your not gonna be living at home anymore. You can call the financial aid office to see if they can offer you more, or you may have to take out loans.
