do the adcoms look at the financial stuff before, after, or during the decision process?

cornell is need-blind. not all schools are. so definately after.

im not so sure about need blind, b/c on the common app doesn't it ask if you will be applying for financial aid, if you put yes, they will be able to see that you need aid, just not how much, so i would say it is like 95% need blind, i could be wrong though

when i visited they said they were completely need blind. I have heard schools say they are not need blind or say they are need blind unless they cant decide, which leads me to assume if they werent completely need blind, they'd say so.

Doesn't everyone check off the box "applying for aid"...like I am pretty sure I won't get much, if any, but I still applied...wouldn't it be dumb not to?

Anyway, I agree, with a school that meets 100% of people's need or whatever I don't think they are going to let it affect anyone's admission.

i think need blind only affects RD anyways not us ED'ers, b/c if we get accepted we must go and must pay no matter what financial aid package we get
