i got into u michigan and i think ill get into u texas....but i need over 10k a year of scholarships to go to ut...ive applied for about 15 and it looks like the most i will get is 10k total...so that means i still ahve to come up with 30 thousand....do you guys know of any options or should i just save the money and go to michigan

As much as I love UT, I know money was definitely an issue for me when choosing colleges. Is there any way you can get an out of state waiver to go to UT (national merit)? UT is a great school. I love it here. But again, I know money can be a huge factor for people.

I hear National Merits get their OOS fees waived, but I'm not 100% about that one.

i say go to UT for one year as an oos. during your first year either have your parents buy a condo and put your name on the deed or get a part-time job (like 8-10 hours a week) at an off campus site. according to the UT, you claim residency by doing that.

when you say national merit...do you mean from the psat?

when you say i should buy a condo and put it in my name...when woudl i have to buy it to still qualify for instate tuition my sophomore year?

i'm not sure to tbh. the best is to call someone at the school.

you would probably have to buy it during the summer so it would be a year owning it before sophomore year.
