Hi guys First of all congrats for your acceptance to your choice of universities.I would like to know how are you planning to pay for your education abroad.Kindly mention your college's cost and how are you going to pay for it.I have been accepted to Purdue , Minnesota and Texas A&M.I am waiting for few more but how can I pay that 25 lakh/YEAR fee of purdue?I asked credila from hdfc but they need securities worth rs 1 crore for the loan.WhaT should I do?If you know anything that will be helpful , please guide me.

I get significant need based grant aid and will have relatively little debt after graduation.

If you aren’t wealthy enough, try to not go to a state university. Fill the CSS Profile wisely and hope for solid need based aid from private schools.

A little piece of advice: do not count on getting a high paying job right out of college that will repay everything. Interests change, and you might end up liking philosophy more than CS. I’d rather live a debt free life in India working as an underpaid professor than a debt ridden life in the US with a job I despise waking up for.

Choose wisely. There’s a lot more to the world than just money; zero’s absolutely fine, negative not so much.

Agree on some points with loveofdevotchka, getting in too much debt after graduation is atrocious in my opinion. Ultimately, PAYING for college is the most important important factor in getting education in US schools.

Also companies nowadays don’t offer many jobs to international students with non masters degree, so you should have an option of doing masters as well after undergrads.

So think practically about PAYING for college before making a decision.

Thanks for your replies . I will consider your advice.
