<p>…and I sincerely doubt I’ll major in Global Econ/Mod Lang anymore.</p>
<p>Those of you who believe your admissions decision was due to your intended field rather than the merit of your application are incorrect. Georgia Tech does not take your intended field of study into consideration when making application decisions, they allow you to change your intended field of study before starting in the fall, and they also allow everyone with fewer than 60 hours change majors once without restriction, and with minimal GPA requirements after that. Calling to change your intended major will not improve your chances for getting off the wait list.</p>
<p>Waitlisted. Well I was never going there anyways. And at least I can say that I still havn’t been officially denied yet from a school. Congrats to those who get in. It’s going to be hard work but they wouldn’t have taken you if they didn’t think you were up to the challenge.</p>

<p>almost every other person here has waitlist offer… while the statistics from US News show only 185 were placed on the waitlist(is that after you accept the waitlist offer??)… I still want to wait for the decisions officially released tonight… I mean wouldn’t they have noticed that they are actually putting the application status out for everyone to see before the deadline?</p>

<p>Same here dude. I am waitlisted too. My major is CompE/CS. However, I’ve been accepted to UIUC (ranked 3rd) compared to Tech (ranked 5th or 6th, dunno).
I AM STILL SHOCKED!
