find x essay- major help?

hi everyone,

so im writing the find x essay. would anyone mind pming theirs over so i can see what you wrote- just to see an example im having so much trouble writing chicago essays!

feedback is really appreciated! thanks so much! ;)

a lot of Find X essays have been posted on the “Post your essay” thread

Sketch alert.

@JeromeVergil. wow completely ignorant and uncalled for. why would a post your essay thread even exist then? everyone would just be a sketch, esp those that viewed it.

I’ve seen a lot of people take a mathematical approach, but that seems like it would be as beating a dead horse (granted, many probably did that approach very well.) Try thinking outside of the box; I think the University of Chicago would like that more.

OP, you’re correct: that thread exists for people to look at it. So there’s no need for you to ask someone to PM it.

bumpppppp. anyone willing to read my essay?

Wasn’t the deadline yesterday?

Not sure if this is relevant anymore, but the best advice I received for that essay was from CC over the summer, just after the topics came out. Somebody said to think of “x” as anything, so it could be an essay about finding anything at all. Resulted in me making an essay that defined happiness, using “x”/math as a framework only. =)

nope, i believe its januar 3rd as indicated on the common app and website!
