I was wondering how most people find their room mate at SDSU. Is there a certain app or website people use or is it mostly done through Facebook or Instagram with people messaging each other? I want to live in a living learning community but I also want to find a room mate before hand. Would this combination be a problem?
@sdsuluvr Yes we were wondering this as well. We have not been able to find a room mate search at SDSU.
my advice is to message people through facebook. look through their pictures/profile, you can tell a a lot about a peron by the pictures they post. try and see if they’re the type of person you would get along with!
what if you don’t have fb? @sdsugirl22
@mdorbust - Facebook is a really popular tool that dorm staff use to connect with their residents. There are quite a few “closed” (private) Facebook groups created by the various floors to keep up-to-date and current on floor activities and campus events. And, SDSU has many different Facebook pages to interact with students and their parents.
Go through the housing application process. When you get to the end, it will let you view good matches for roommates. Read their profiles and request ones you like. If they request you back then you’re good to go
Yes, we read through the housing agreement again and it seems that this option comes on May 1, or after.
Does anybody know exactly how the requesting roommate process works? I recently accepted somebody’s request to be roommates but I’m not sure what happens next? We both have assigned rooms already, so would we then get reassigned to a room where there’s availability or?
