Hi,
I’m out of high school, and I’m finding an AP test location in the area of Indiana or some nearby cities/areas. I want to take AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics in the upcoming May. Any suggestions?
If you’re out of high school you are much better off taking the CLEP most Community Colleges offer CLEP and you can take them at any time. You are likely too late to register for the AP’s even if you could find a high school willing to let you take it.
My college does’t accept CLEP, and the final deadline to oder AP test materials is April 14th for high schools in the US.
Our school closed registration on March 1st and if you waited that long you had to pay a late fee, most schools have a deadline far earlier than CB’s deadline for ordering testing materials.
From our school web site:
Students enrolled in an AP course who wish to take the AP exam in May need to register for their exams.
Registration opens February 1st.
Late registration begins February 20th.
Registration closes March 1st.
During the regular registration period, the cost for each exam is $97.
During the late registration period, the cost for each exam is $152.
It’s hard enough to find a high school that will administer the exam to someone that is not their student (they are under no obligation to do so) but a this date I don’t think you will find a testing location. Your best bet is to contact the local homeschoolers in your area and find out which schools they take their AP/SAT/ACT test at also start with you home zoned high school. Good Luck!
